Hello everyone! Estoy con poco tiempo asique subo esto rapido y despues vuelvo y miro que anda pasando en sus respectivos blogs. Ayer fui a alto palermo y nuevamente, me enamore de un par de cosas que vi en Maria Cher. La primera es un saco que me parecio divino (abajo les dejo la foto del lookbook de la pagina). Lo pienso usar asi, arremangado con algo de color abajo, quiero que haga un poco mas de frio asi lo puedo estrenar! Bueno y despues, vi los mocasines que apenas me los probe me los quise llevar! No se dan una idea de lo comodos que son! Ademas me parecio algo que puedo usar las cuatro estaciones. Que les parece a ustedes?

Hoy empece con Produccion de Modas en la UP! La verdad, es que era todo medio desorganizado, igual era de esperarse, estaba lleno de gente! Me re impresiono la cantidad de gente extranjera. De todos lados, desde Peru hasta Los Angeles. Hoy tuve Taller de Moda I que es principalmente dibujo y esas cosas. Resulta que, soy malisima. Pero nada que no tenga arreglo, ya empiezo a practicar mi figurin apenas pueda. La cagada mas grande es que hay un dia que no tengo clases, y estaba rogando por que sea el viernes, pero no, me toco el martes mientras a la mayoria de la clase le toco el viernes! Que mala suerte, tenia unas ganas de salir todos los juevesss. Porque la verdad es que no me va eso de salir para levantarme 2 o 3 horas mas tarde, lo odio.

Bueno cambiando de tema, QUIERO ROPAAAAAA! Mi wish list del momento:

- botas altas (o las de Maria o las de Paula, pero con alguna me tengo que quedar)

- campera de cuero (infaltable, no puedo creer que todavia no tengo una!)

- botitas de jazmin (son divinasssss)

- botitas de paruolo (perfectas para la facultad)

- chalina de jazmin (la vi en el lookbook de la pagina pero no la puedo encontrar en ningun local, me encanta, apenas la vi dije quiero!)

- tapado corto (de donde sea, alguno que me dure bastante)

para colmo todo lo que estoy necesitando no es lo mas barato, los tapados no bajan de mil, las camperas de cuero mucho menos, los zapatos todos estan arriba de quinientos, y las botas tambien arriba de mil. C O M O H A G O ?

maniana juego a la quiniela, no se tengo que probar suerte!

Quiero un Trabajo, pero que se puede conseguir con las siguientes limitaciones?: Que sea solo cuatro dias a la semana (lunes, martes, jueves y viernes). Los miercoles no puedo, tengo todo el dia facultad. Aparte de esto, solo a la tarde, pero tampoco quiero terminar muy tarde jaja. A QUIEN SE LE OCURRE ALGO? Para colmo no se ni como buscar, soy mas nava con esas cosas. Mi viejo no me deja ir a laburar con el porque no quiere familiares en la empresa. Diosss quiero algoooo pero igual tipico mio que no duro un mes. Aunque me tendria que ir acostumbrando, puede que este anio (no tengo enie) no me digan nada, pero el anio que viene si o si me van a decir que me busque algo para hacer.

Ahhh y tambien quiero aprender frances! Tuve clases en el colegio, pero eran pateticas. Si hago esto ya fue toda chance de trabajar. Hoy mande mail a la alianza francesa, a ver que me dicen.

Ultima cosa, que onda las vacaciones de invierno??? Porque por lo que vi de lo que me dieron de la UP todo termina a fines de junio. No entiendo mucho esto, porque en la pagina dice que empiezan de nuevo las clases los primeros dias de agosto. O sea que tengo como mas de un mes de vacaciones??? Quiero confirmar esto porque ya me saco pasaje a Londres para instalarme en lo de mi hermano un mes entero. Y de paso hago algunos cursos en London College of Fashion y Central Saint Martins. Hace casi dos anios que no voy a Londres, como la extraniooo! Que linda ciudad!

On Monday I start with college and I'm sick! I can't believe it, I mean all summer long my health was perfect, but 2 days before school starts I get sick! I'm better now though, so if I keep it up I'll be able to attend to class. Wish me luck!

Comments about the Terry Richardson scandal? Anyone? I never liked him that much, I usually saw him as a freak and never ended up getting his shoots. If the accusations were completely false then he should have stayed and clear everything up, not run away and then complain to Rie's agency about her behavior. Una gran felicidad me dio ayer cuando gano el oscar El Secreto De Sus Ojos! La verdad es que se lo merecian. Otra argentina que se esta haciendo notar en otra industria es Tati Cotliar, la modelo que aunque hace un par de anios que empezo con el modelaje, sin duda, esta fue su mejor temporada. Hizo las 4 ciudades, Nueva York, Londres, Milan y ahora esta en Paris. Estuvo en un monton de shows y hasta abrio el de Marc Jacobs! Para colmo tiene un estilo para vestirse que me encanta, es re original y divertido.

Para todos los que preguntaron, la cartera del post pasado es de Ayres, y si, es muuy comoda y practica!

Sale!

Ayer me di una vuelta rapida por unicenter para ir solo a Maria Cher (que no esta en palmas del pilar y que cada vez que veo algun local vacio ruego porque habra uno de Maria) y a Jazmin Chebar que es mas grande que el de aca. Tambien pase por De La Ostia y Ayres. Como era de esperarce, entre a MC y me queria llevar el local entero! Pero bueno, de a poco. Me compre: la camisa (foto 1) que no se dan una idea de lo bien que queda, la podes usar de mil maneras, es lo que mas me gusto de todo, la pollera (foto 2), la remera rayada (foto 3) que es un must y que todavia no habia conseguido, un gorrito y un cinturon (foto 5) que no saben lo lindo que queda el gorrito! Me muero por usarlo en el invierno cuando mis orejas esten congeladas, y el cinturon me encanta tambien. Bueno sigo, los zapatos que desde que los vi en el lookbook me enamore y son unos de los zapatos mas comodos que me compre hasta ahora! De lo que quedaba en liquidacion me compre un buzo que me parecio original y a muy buen precio (ultima foto)! Bueno en JC todo lo que habia visto en el lookbook no estaba, solo un saco que es divino pero que salia ridiculamente caro asique por ahora lo deje pasar, pero me fui con un saquito (foto 4) que me parecio que esta bueno para usar de dia y de noche depende con que me lo ponga. Finalmente, el otro dia en el Ayres de Sucre en Belgrano encontre la remera que busque toda la temporada que cuando la veia no me la compraba y despues nunca mas la encontre! Era la ultima que quedaba y ni lo dude, me encanta!

Hace poco vi este collage en fashionista y me encanto. Amo a estos dos bolsos, ustedes cual prefieren? Convengamos que ese color en the Alexa bag no es el mas lindo, pero la vi en el mismo color que la PS1 y queda muy bien, hasta demasiado. Yo no me decido (en realidad no se para que me tendria que decidir, si no puedo comprarme ninguna de las dos! va en diciembre casi me compro la PS1, pero decidi que valia mas la pena ahorrar y esperar a las nuevas colecciones de invierno y comprarme un monton de cosas, o no?)

Naomi, Kate y Christy. No importa cuantos años tenga, cuanto sea criticada, simpre va a ser mi modelo preferida, Kate Moss es una living legend.

Un par de cosas, primero acerca del post del otro dia, que quede en claro que yo uso lo que me gusta sin importar lo que el otro piense, pero igual me parece que las mujeres en argentina no se visten de cierta manera que te hace pararte en el medio de la calle y mirar para atras para ver sus zapatos, vestido, o outfit entero. Ademas, creo que tampoco hay muchas opciones de donde comprar. Para comprar cosas unicas en buenos aires, hay que buscar, y si no te terminas comprando una remera de una marca conocida que es obvio que se la vas a ver a alguien mas cuando salis a la noche! Para mi lo esencial es saber usar la ropa de forma unica.

Otra cosa, hoy fui a palmas del pilar y vi que Rapsodia ya tiene la nueva coleccion. Nuevamente, no me impresiono. Si, hay cosas que estan buenas y se las puede combinar para armar un buen conjunto, pero no me parecio nada muy.. no se, wow. Wanama creo que tambien tiene la nueva coleccion, pero esta es una marca que hace años no me compro nada. Solamente me compre una carterita que me encanto este verano, pero aparte de eso, nunca me tienta nada. La coleccion de Paula la vi en internet, y perdonenme pero tampoco me fascino! Van a creer que soy re exigente y que no me viene bien nada, pero no es asi! jaja. Bueno, no se, Paula siempre me parece que no tiene nada para ofrecer. Son cosas completamente basicas (algunas si, obvio que estan buenas) a precios ridiulos! Y bueno, proximo post, JAZMIN CHEBAR. Dios como amo ese lugar!

Alguien se imagina ver a una mujer caminando por las calles de buenos aires con este outfit? La verdad es que yo nunca vi a nadie que ni se acercase a algo como esto. Para mi este tipo de ropa se ve unicamente en Nueva York y otras ciudades parecidas. Me encantaria cruzarme con alguien asi cuando salgo de mi casa! Hoy vi la nueva coleccion de invierno de Maria Cher, la verdad es que me enamore! Me parece increible, es muy mi estilo y usaria cada uno de los looks. Si, obviamente hay ciertas cosas muuy parecidas a los diseñadores de afuera, pero capas es coincidencia, no? (por lo menos a mi me gustaria pensar de esa manera aunque se que no es asi). Ah, y ademas la campaña publicitaria es muchisimo mejor que la de verano. Marcela me empieza a caer un poco mejor despues de verla en las fotos. Me gusta pensar en Maria como la Isabel Marant argentina, tienen una onda muy parecida. Aunque no identica, como le paso a Paula Cahen D'Anvers el invierno pasado cuando mando a la pasarela modelos con looks identicos de pies a cabeza con una coleccion pasada de Isabel! Couture Week ya mostro las colecciones de Givenchy, Armani Prive, Chanel, Christian Dior y Elie Saab entre otros. La verdad es que ninguna de esas colecciones me impresiono con lo que mostraron. CD me parecio horrendo, y algo que ya fue visto antes. Chanel, por su lado me parecio aburrido y que puede pasar por alto. Me enamore solo de un vestido! Givenchy, desde ya no soy muy fan de esta casa, Armani fue uno de los mejores. Clasica elegancia pero con un toque futuristico. El que mas me gusto personalmente fue Elie Saab. Nunca vi una coleccion de el de haute couture que no me impresione. Los vestidos son unicos y excelentemente hechos con un diseno increible. Lo que mas me gusto de esta semana, fueron las fotos de Tommy Ton para style.com! En la foto, Caroline Sieber con un look muy simple pero que funciona.

Espero que todos tengan un buen dia, me voy a tomar sollllllll ;)

I have spent the last week wondering why everyone I know is so obsessed with the "25 Random Things About Me" meme on Facebook that has endlessly been doing the rounds.

Surely it's a rather cringey and self-indulgent way for people to pass the time, sharing 'fascinating' truths about themselves which would otherwise have gone unnoticed by all their friends. Who the hell cares if you make great soup or were born in Tahiti? It's indicative of how self-centred we have all become these days. And yet, and yet... the more people took part in it, and the more of their lists I read, the more absorbed I became.

And so, like a mindless sheep following the social networking herd, I though I'd allow you too, my dedicated readers (ha), a sneak peek into the embarrassing inner workings (or rather, the mindless ramblings) of my brain . Rest assured, these mini-confessionals will also be displayed on my Facebook page (which is, of course, private to all but my very closest friends).

When I was 19 or 20, or whatever age it is I wish I was stuck at, I set up a group called "My Top Hate", a hilarious pun on "My Top 8", a MySpace facility in which you listed your eight best friends. (Quite why MySpace decided that best friends were best restricted to groups of eight is anybody's guess.) And so, in an effort to toughen up my increasingly soft attitude towards most things and to lay to rest the idea that anyone really cares about each other's long-winded list-making, I've decided that the theme of my 25 things about me will be hatred. And let these be the final word on this particular trend.

1. I hate that I have to pay tax. And for the record, tax does have to be taxing.

2. I hate that I have blisters round the right corner of my mouth from where I brushed my teeth using a trendy old-fashioned toothpaste I got in a trendy old-fashioned New York hotel, and then was so tired I didn't wipe my mouth properly, dribbled all night long and subsequently burnt my own face with my toxic saliva.

3. I hate that I can only ever manage to consume an inch of coffee.

4. I hate that I know most lyrics to Robbie Williams songs off by heart, but very few by Dr Dre, even though I look up Dre on YouTube daily to practise Still Dre so that I can wow people at karaoke. I'm sure/hope I had abandoned casting my eye over Robbie's CD cases by the age of 14.

5. I hate that I get nervous about public speaking when that's basically what I do for a living.

6. I hate that Janet Jackson lied, because the best things in life aren't free. Just look at Chanel.

7. I hate that I'm rushing this list so I can go out to watch a band I'll probably hate.

8. I hate that I am forever buying stationery and yet never have anything to write on, or with.

9. I hate that I just had to look up how to spell "stationery" without it meaning I'm standing still, especially because I was right the first time.

10. I hate that I'm worried you'll think this column is incredibly childish.

11. I hate people who mix up "their" and "there" and "too" and "to" in text messages.

12. I hate that I love America's Next Top Model.

13. I hate bright colours.

14. I hate being told what to do.

15. I hate that I hate people who wear fur even though I am happy to wear leather.

16. I hate that by this point the word "hate" has become less powerful, because I really mean it. When I say I hate red lipstick, it's too obvious.

17. I hate that I can't balance a cat on my shoulder while riding a bike, like I saw a woman doing in Paris last week.

18. I hate that I still can't speak fluent French, or any French which is actually useful. The only word I can usually remember is poubelle.

19. I hate that all anybody talks about at the moment is Slumdog Millionaire or the credit crunch.

20. I hate that I'm struggling to think of five more.

21. I hate the Eighties.

22. I hate being cold but I always, always am.

23. I hate that one of my favourite films is 10 Things I Hate About You.

24. I hate that hairdressers always lie about how much they'll take off.

I know that by now we are over pre fall and all of our attention is the autumn winter 2009-10 collections, but I didn't have a chance to upload PS's collection which imo is better than anything that i saw so far in NY and LND fashion week. I just love it, so casual, chic, elegant and clever. No one could have done a better job than Jack and Laz. Love it, love it, love it.

Soooo, i've been away for way too long! told you from the beginning, i'm lazy when it comes to blogging. but i'm back and with not much to tell, but that in a couple of days i start school again (senior year!) which on the one hand it sucks because it means going back to a routine and studying and stuff but on the other hand i know it will be a loot of fun!

I like them, not as much as the last season's one, but they are good. I'm more of a Paulo Melim Andersson Chloé girl rather than a Hannah MacGibbon. I actually love what Paulo did with the brand, he took the Chloé girl to another level. I still don't get why they hated him so much, I think that the last collection with Hannah was a complete copy of what Phoebe Philo used to do. I miss the girly but hard Chloé girl!

Punta del Este!

YES! i finally accepted the invite to Punta Del Este so i'm leaving on the 17th. I'm so happy! =)

i'm reeaaaaalllllyyyyyyyyy bored right now. i'm in the middle of my vacations and no one is left in the cityyy! almost every single friend is in PDL (a very popular place to go for holidays) and even if a friend invited me to go with her i declined the invite as a complete asshole! just to stay home with my dad's cancer which by the way is going better and better. so, i can't go on vacations with him and my mum is going everywhere but is not taking me! SO unfairr. at least another friend also invited me to go to PDL on late January, so i'll probably go, and another one invited me to Brazil which is really nice,but in february i have to study for summer f school. so, my days go by with me all day tanning or in my pajamas watching pictures of people having the time of their lives on thecobrasnake.com

they believe that my big fat cat has skin cancer, how wired is that?? my dad has, but not the skin one, he has lung cancer. i guess all of those years of smoking like crazy gave effect!

She is from Spain but she currently lives in London where she studied at the incredible St. Martins. Her style, imo, is AMAZING. I love it, she is trendy but with elegance and loves to take risks (and she has never been wrong with them).

"Fashion as Communication" by Malcolm Barnard

For my current summer vacations, I promise myself that I would end up reading some of the many fashion books that I own. The thing is that every time I start with one, something comes up and they are left behind. Classes begin again on March, so by then I have to at least end up these two. I have read a bit of them for a special work that I had to do at school, and honestly, they are amazing. Especially Fashion as Communication, I deeply recommend it to anyone interested in the subject.

Any other books that you find that are worth reading?
